Head of Social Studies, Mr. Chris Jacoby, sponsors the Kenya Service Project. In his free time, he likes to read, catch up on cool television shows, and travel. Mr. Jacoby leans towards fiction especially dramatic novels. 


True Grit by Charles Portis

Mr. Charly Pimentel teaches New Media 10, English 11 and New Media 12. He sponsors the student newspaper, Ad Verum, Encounter, Film Club, and is a House Commander. His favourite things include: beaches, patios, video games, movies, writing, reading, biking, boardgames, and hockey.

Mr. Pimentel enjoys reading: coming of age, science fiction, apocalyptic, nonfiction critical analysis, sociology, and media. So why this novel? "It's a young adult/coming of age story in the Western genre... the movie is excellent. The musical score is beautiful and it's fun to read the novel, with the score in the background...I've read a little bit of it and am hoping to enjoy it over the summer."
