BOOKMARK CONTEST

 OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS
Challenge:  When we read, we have a chance for personal transformation. Your task is to explore this magic & meaning and communicate it visually, on a bookmark. Your bookmark should promote reading creatively through imagery that connects to particular books, themes, and/or ideas. Remember to incorporate the year’s theme: COMMUNITY WELLNESS
  • Please find example bookmarks from previous contest years available at the Morven Library circulation desk.
  • Various media choices are welcome. Digital submissions may be sent to [email protected].
  • Deliver paper-based entries to the library by the contest deadline.
Deadline:  Tuesday, February 20th, 2026
BOOKMARK CRITERIA
  • Promotes books/reading
  • Intersects annual theme (a key idea for Collingwood in 2026)
  • Uses the template provided, in terms of size. Entries must be exactly 3.5cm wide and 18 cm tall, SINGLE-SIDED
  • Has effective use of colour, imagery & space
  • Displays strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, & error-free text
Judging: 
Each bookmark will be judged on the above criteria. Winning bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed via the library. 
Each year, the library celebrates our contest winners with a special gift and acknowledgement.
