Example:
Writing prompt: Tattoos are an important part of self-expression for young people. Agree or disagree.

Creating a permanent display of youthful self-expression with a tattoo is is immature and will affect your future. What might be important to you at a certain stage of your life may no longer be relevant in another. This type of expression has consequences. Employers are likely to judge the tattooed more harshly, a reality participants in a recent university study seem to realize: “The majority of students surveyed who currently have tattoos revealed that if they get another tattoo they will consider the location on the body with regard to any impact to employment (Foltz 589).” This type of self-expression leaves an impression. A person will appear more rebellious, undisciplined and less professional. This impression will deter employers from hiring a “decorated” employee. One must seriously consider the permanent results of these acts of self-expression and chose less lasting ways of making a statement.
